Epicure's Tortilla Press is a traditional-style press made from sturdy cast aluminum. 

All products sold by My Epicurean Kitchen are new, unopened and sealed.

 

Epicure’s Corn Tortillas Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cup (375ml) masa harina or fine cornmeal
  • ¼ tsp (1.2ml) salt
  • 1 cup (250ml) warm water

Preparation:

  • Stir ingredients together and mix for 2 minutes. Cover and let rest for 15 minutes.
  • Divide dough into 10 walnut size balls.
  • Place an 8” by 8“square of parchment paper on the press. Place ball in center of parchment with another piece to cover. Press down with handle.
  • Heat frying pan over mediumhigh heat. Fry each tortilla 1 minute per side or bake for 5 – 7 minutes in a 350°F (175°C) oven on a sheet pan.
  • Stack and wrap in a cloth to keep warm before serving.

 



     

Prep Time: 30 minutes

Cook Time: 2 minutes per tortilla

Makes 10 tortillas

 

Care Instructions:

  • Wash in warm soapy water before using.
  • Hand wash only – do not use in dish washer.
