The good news keeps coming for Epicure fans!

Products to be relaunched

A recent video shared with Epicure affiliates such as myself announced an additional 5 products that are to be in the first fifteen to be relaunched at the end of August.

The first five announced were:

• Alfredo

• Pulled Pork

• Chicken Souvlaki

• Butter Chicken

• Mac & Cheese

Now, we know that another five are:

• Marinara

• SPG

• 3 Onion Dip

• Lemon Dilly Dip

• Better than Bacon

If you don't see you favourites in the lists above, take heart! There are another five, at least, to be announced.

New Packaging

I mentioned before that the products sold in sachets, or soft packaging, will see some welcome changes, including stand-up pouches that are resealable.

There's been another development on the packaging front as well. Products like Marinara and Lemon Dilly Dip that have historically been sold in jars will also be packaged in soft packaging for the foreseeable future. This is because there has been a delay in getting the proper lids for the jars already on hand.

Soft packaging, or pouches, for products like these are common with other vendors so I don't see this as a major inconvenience. In the long term, though, I prefer the jars if only because I find them easier to store and access on my cupboard shelves.

Now, let me repeat some information I provided in a previous post concerning the impact for My Epicurean Kitchen and my customers.

How to buy the new products: Canada

I have set up a new "Buy Direct From Epicure" button on each product page that will permit my customers to check Epicure.com for the availability of their favourite products.

As of now the button is "greyed out" and it simply takes you to the website with a "Coming Soon" message. After the relaunch it will be a red colour and link to the live Epicure site from the actual product listed on My Epicurean Kitchen.

Canadian customers will be able to order direct from Epicure for delivery to their homes. However, I will also be stocking inventory of these 2025 products so that customers can order these as well as the products I have on hand that have been purchased via the liquidation sale and bankruptcy auction conducted by the trustees.

How to buy the new products: USA

Epicure will be shipping direct to Canada only for the foreseeable future. US customers can buy from My Epicurean Kitchen and I will ship to their home from Edmonton, Alberta. The cost of the product will be the same as that listed on the Epicure website.

There may be a wrinkle, however. If the 35% tariff announced by President Trump takes effect on August 29th as scheduled, I will most likely be suspending shipments to the US. The responsibility for paying this additional 35% tax will fall on the customers and the process for paying may be onerous. We are still waiting to see how the situation plays out as of this writing and a future post and email will address the matter more completely when more facts are available.
